This is our last planned hotfix for the 21.4 patch cycle. The patch also prevents a hack that allowed players to cheat more than 6 Mercenaries into their Party.

Oh, and since I don’t want to create a separate post for it – we’ve also learned that Toki is disabled in the Battlegrounds, because her latest Hallow’s End skin is bugged (it gives her 1 attack permanently, allowing her to actually attack stuff in the Tavern – yes, it was pretty hilarious).ġ0/26 Update: We deployed a small server-side hotfix today to address an issue preventing Mercenaries MMR from properly adjusting after players lose a game at 0 MMR (such as players who lost their first-ever Fighting Pit game). Either way, we won’t have to wait much longer. It means that either the mini-set will come out at the same time as the patch, or they will release the patch with event on Tuesday and then unlock mini-set on Thursday. However, the patch will 100% release on Tuesday – that’s when the Hallow’s End Diablo events start, and we don’t have the event data in game files yet, so we need a patch for it.
I’ve been guessing November 4 as the mini-set release date for a long time now – I specifically thought that it will be Thursday, because previous mini-sets were released on Thursday. For the last few weeks, the entire news cycle was focused on Mercenaries, so it feels good to be back to Constructed – card reveals, possibly new meta – it will all be very welcome after things have been stale in that department for over a month now (ever since the big balance update). It also lines up with the official PlayHearthstone’s Tweet saying that more info about the mini-set will come out next week. Apparently, this is the final hotfix in 21.4 cycle, because we’re getting 21.6 Patch Notes this week, ahead of next week’s actual patch. Some interesting information was “hidden” in the latest “Patch 21.4 Known Issues” update.
